For years, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu remained a secondary, almost unknown discipline in Morocco. The sport was unfamiliar to most, with no dedicated training facilities and very few practitioners. Those passionate about grappling had no choice but to move from gym to gym, training in borrowed spaces that were never truly built for BJJ.
Determined to change that, Rida ELmardi and Hicham Hakam took the initiative to build something that had never existed in Morocco before — the first gym fully dedicated to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling. Warriors Fight Academy was born not just as a training facility, but as a mission: to give BJJ a real home in North Africa and to develop world-class athletes from the ground up.
What started as a bold vision is now a thriving community. WFA stands today as a pioneer, proof that passion and perseverance can build something extraordinary from nothing.
The Struggle
BJJ was unknown in Morocco — no gyms, no instructors, no structure. Training meant going from one gym to another.
The Decision
Rida & Hakam refused to accept the status quo. They decided to build Morocco's first dedicated BJJ and grappling academy.
Warriors Fight Academy
WFA opened its doors — the first pioneer gym in Morocco fully dedicated to BJJ, building a community and developing champions.
